Disney Coronado Springs Resort

Disney Coronado Springs Resort features comfortable, rather large rooms and some amenities that singularize it among all moderate resorts (e.g. health club and beauty shop).
The dominant theme at Disney Coronado Springs Resort is that of Mexican and Southwest American influence. The resort is of moderate category and was opened in August 1997.

Theme and atmosphere

The atmosphere is casual, the theme is sustained by mosaics, arched windows and doorways, tile roofs, colors from shades of pink to desert sand yellows. The buildings are separated into regions, each being specifically themed: the Casitas, the Ranchos, the Cabanas.

  • The Casitas - Southwest American influence, with colorful tiles, plaza, fountains and courtyards. They are the most used for convention accomodations.
  • The Ranchos - rustic flavor.
  • The Cabanas - Mexican style. They overlook Lake Dorado.

The rooms are quite spacious, the same size as those at Caribbean and are rich in Mexican vivid motifs.
